Aurifil's cotton threads are made of Cotton Mako, a blend of Egyptian-grown cottons known for the extra long staple length and uniformity of staple. Only the best quality cotton can become Cotton Mako.

Lana Wool
Aurifil's Lana Wool is a blend of 50% Australian wool and 50% Acrylic. Use by hand or machine (with a Topstitch 90/14 or 100/16 needle).

Monofilament
The new formula was introduced in my booth at MQX in 2010! Size 100 Denier nylon. It can take heat up to 120ยบ C and is slightly shiny, but not reflective. It is soft and behaves well without breakage. People LOVE it.
